Sharing Templates
Templates can be shared across organization members, allowing your team to collaboratively manage document generation.
How Sharing Works
When a template is created, it belongs to:
- The user who created it (owner).
- The organization they were working in when they created it.
All members of that organization can access the template based on their role:
- Org Admins can view, edit, and stamp shared templates.
- Members can view and stamp shared templates.
Sharing a Template with an Organization
- Open the template in the Template Creator.
- The template is automatically associated with your current organization.
- All members of the organization can see it in their Templates list.
Template Visibility
| Scenario | Who Can See It |
|---|---|
| Template in Org A | All members of Org A |
| Personal template (no org) | Only the owner |
| Template in Org A + Org B | Members of both organizations |
Best Practices
tip
- Use organizations to group templates by team, client, or use case.
- Control access by managing organization membership rather than individual template permissions.
- Use static fields for organization-specific values (company name, address) so team members don't need to re-enter them.
